🕯📚 A Dream Within A Dream

今早看了一日劇,內有引用了一英文詩句
「A dream within a dream」 by Edgar Allan Poe,頗有深義。現節錄其原詩文第二節作為與大家分享。其寓意也有如中國的《南柯一夢》,夢如人生,人生如夢。也聯想到一首Seals & Crofts 的舊歌 「Castle in the sand」 內 lyrics said, “。。。。Castles in the sand, they'll never, never stand. ”
又或另一首舊歌 「All I Have To Do Is Dream」
😴
----
*A Dream Within A Dream*  by Edgar Allan Poe
I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand"
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep - while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?
