Thousands of jobs are on the line at Barclays as part of the UK lender's plan to cut as much as $1.25bn in costs, according to reports.
Initial plans being reviewed by managers could see between 1,500 and 2,000 go, chiefly from Barclays Execution Services, the six-year old business that brought support functions together into one unit, Reuters reported.
