The original old version of this classical literature was said to be written by 郭璞, the greatest chinese fengshui grand master in the ancient Jin dynasty 晉代, provided with explanatory notes by 張顆。However, it was being revaluated in Ching Dynasty for the appropriate publishing period should be in between Tong and Song dynasty, and it was included in the Four Treasures of books collection 四庫全書 by the Ching Dynasty Empire。
This is a classixal literature for four pillars destiny reading mainly using, yin yang five elements, nayin method, i-ching eight trigrams, etc for the evaluation, and using the ancient state of Yearmaster instead of the later state of Daymaster.
Explanatory notes for this literature are commonly found by taking the method of Daymaster way for interpretion, however the original nature and usage of this literature were written for the spirit and essences of using Yearmaster way along with the nayin method at that time.
Recently, in 2015 the original old version of this literature was published into a book titled "四庫全書 《玉照定真經》今注 " by a Hong Kong chinese metaphysics master 鄭智恆. Good about this book is, the original old explanatory written by 張顒 using the yearmaster and nayin methods, thereafter master 鄭 also provided his explanatory and comment using several relevant four pillars examples.
